O peak of peaks, how high it stands!
One boundless green o’erspreads two States.
A marvel done by Nature’s hands,
O’er light and shade it dominates.
Clouds rise therefrom and lave my breast;
My eyes are strained to see birds fleet.
Try to ascend the mountain’s crest;
It dwarfs all peaks under our feet.

In this poem, Du Fu ‑ a Chinese poet who lived during the Tang Dynasty (618-907) ‑ shares his experience and imaginative thoughts while looking at Taishan Mountain from different perspectives without directly saying its name out loud.
唐代詩人杜甫在這首詩中借由多視角描述，流露出他對泰山的深切感受與豐富想象。全詩并未點明“泰山”二字，躍然紙上的是“遠近高低各不同”的壯麗景觀。
The first two lines present a view of the mountain from a distance, the middle four from close range, and the last two from above. By describing and praising these wonderful natural views, Du aims at expressing his grand ambition (雄心壯志) and firm determination to overcome all difficulties under heaven.
前兩句描繪了泰山遠景，中間四句展示了近距離欣賞時的景色，最后兩句則來自鳥瞰視角。通過“多維度”的表達手段，杜甫表達了他誓要克服天下一切困難的雄心壯志。
