10月18日，在河南省三門峽市舉行的第三屆中國考古學大會開幕式上，國家文物局公布了"百年百大考古發(fā)現(xiàn)"名單。許多公眾熟悉的名字出現(xiàn)在名單上，包括河南仰韶村遺址、陜西秦始皇陵墓、四川三星堆遺址、浙江良渚考古遺址、北京周口店遺址等。

The National Cultural Heritage Administration announced the top 100 archaeological discoveries of China in the past 100 years on Monday at the opening ceremony of the third Chinese Archaeology Congress in Sanmenxia. Many names familiar to the general public were on the list, including the Yangshao village site in Henan province, the mausoleum of Emperor Qinshihuang in Shaanxi province, the archaeological ruins of Liangzhu in Zhejiang province, the Sanxingdui site in Sichuan province and the Zhoukoudian site in Beijing.

10月20日上午，北京2022年冬奧會火種抵達北京，北京冬奧會火種歡迎儀式在奧林匹克塔隆重舉行。當天，北京冬奧會火炬接力火種燈、儀式火種臺和火炬手服裝等首次呈現(xiàn)在國內(nèi)公眾面前，這些重要的形象元素，體現(xiàn)了滿滿的“中國人的浪漫”（戳這里回顧）。

北京冬奧會火炬接力火種燈的創(chuàng)意源于“中華第一燈”——西漢長信宮燈。

The Olympic flame for the Beijing 2022 Winter Games has landed in the Chinese capital on Wednesday morning after being flown from Athens, Greece. A welcome ceremony for the Olympic flame for the Beijing 2022 Winter Games was held later at the Beijing Olympic Tower. The design concepts of the flame lantern, the demonstration cauldron, the logo for the torch relay and the torchbearers' uniforms, all of which drew inspiration from Chinese culture and traditions, were also unveiled at Wednesday's ceremony.

The flame lantern, which will be used for the flame exhibition tour, is based on the Changxin Palace Lamp, a bronze oil lamp from the Western Han Dynasty (206 BC-AD 24)

“斷崖式”降溫

據(jù)中央氣象臺數(shù)據(jù)顯示，由于14日強冷空氣的到來，全國22個城市經(jīng)歷斷崖式”降溫。中東部大部分地區(qū)降溫6-10攝氏度。10月17日，北京氣溫受寒潮影響降到0攝氏度以下，創(chuàng)下10月中旬氣溫最低值。氣象部門也發(fā)布寒潮預警，建議公眾針對寒冷天氣和強勁大風采取預防措施，同時建議交警部門預備應對道路結(jié)冰等情況。

According to the National Meteorological Center, due to a strong cold wave that hit China on Oct 14, 22 cities have seen cliff-like drops in temperatures. Temperatures in most of the central and eastern regions across the country had dropped by at least 6 to 10 C. For example, the cold wave drove temperatures in Beijing below 0 C on Oct 17, setting a record low for the mid-October period. China’s meteorological authority also issued alerts for the cold wave, advising the public to take precautions against the cold weather and strong winds. It also suggested traffic and police authorities prepare for icy road conditions.
