10月12日，我國正式設(shè)立三江源、大熊貓、東北虎豹、海南熱帶雨林、武夷山等第一批國家公園，保護(hù)面積達(dá)23萬平方公里，涵蓋近30%的陸域國家重點保護(hù)野生動植物種類。（戳這里了解詳情）

China on Tuesday officially designated the first group of national parks. Home to nearly 30 percent of the key terrestrial wildlife species found in China, the parks that include the Sanjiangyuan National Park, the Giant Panda National Park, the Northeast China Tiger and Leopard National Park, the Hainan Tropical Rainforest National Park, and the Wuyishan National Park cover a protected land area of 230,000 square km.

10月13日下午，2020年聯(lián)合國生物多樣性大會（第一階段）高級別會議在云南昆明閉幕，會議正式通過“昆明宣言”，呼吁各方采取行動，共建地球生命共同體。“昆明宣言”是此次大會的主要成果。宣言承諾，確保制定、通過和實施一個有效的“2020年后全球生物多樣性框架”，以扭轉(zhuǎn)當(dāng)前生物多樣性喪失趨勢并確保最遲在2030年使生物多樣性走上恢復(fù)之路，進(jìn)而全面實現(xiàn)人與自然和諧共生的2050年愿景。

The Kunming Declaration was adopted Wednesday at the ongoing 15th meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (COP15) in Kunming, southwest China's Yunnan Province. The declaration commits to ensuring the development, adoption and implementation of an effective post-2020 global biodiversity framework to reverse the current loss of biodiversity and ensure that biodiversity is put on a path to recovery by 2030 at the latest, towards the full realization of the 2050 Vision of "Living in Harmony with Nature."

10月14日，我國在太原衛(wèi)星發(fā)射中心采用長征二號丁運載火箭，成功發(fā)射首顆太陽探測科學(xué)技術(shù)試驗衛(wèi)星“羲和號”。該星將實現(xiàn)國際首次太陽Hα波段光譜成像的空間探測，填補太陽爆發(fā)源區(qū)高質(zhì)量觀測數(shù)據(jù)的空白，提高我國在太陽物理領(lǐng)域研究能力。“羲和”為中國上古神話中的太陽女神與制定時歷的女神，象征著中國對太陽探索的緣起與拓展。

China sent its first solar exploration satellite into space from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center in north China's Shanxi Province Thursday. The satellite was launched aboard a Long March-2D rocket and entered its planned orbit successfully, said the China National Space Administration (CNSA). The satellite, which will conduct the first space exploration of solar Hα spectral imaging, is expected to improve China's research ability in solar exploration. Solicited from the public, the name of the satellite, Xihe, is the goddess of the sun who created the calendar in ancient Chinese mythology.
