疫情影響著我們生活中的方方面面，對(duì)于國(guó)寶大熊貓的生活也一樣。

受到疫情影響，加拿大卡爾加里動(dòng)物園周二宣布，將提前把兩只大熊貓“二順”和“大毛”送回中國(guó)。

Calgary Zoo in Canada announced on Tuesday that a pair of loaned Chinese pandas Er Shun and Da Mao would be returned ahead of schedule because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

粉絲們可以通過動(dòng)物園網(wǎng)站的直播來跟兩只大熊貓告別。

Fans could bid farewell to Da Mao and Er Shun by watching a livestream on the zoo's website, it said.

加拿大園方表示，過去兩個(gè)月來，疫情對(duì)于運(yùn)輸業(yè)產(chǎn)生巨大沖擊，國(guó)際航班驟減，運(yùn)輸新鮮竹子成為一大難題，同時(shí)竹子的質(zhì)量也難以保證。園方表示已經(jīng)盡力克服困難，但是鑒于疫情仍然存在二次暴發(fā)的風(fēng)險(xiǎn)，新鮮竹子的供應(yīng)依然是個(gè)難題。

The pandemic has hit the transportation sector hard in the past two months. The sharp decline in international flights has posed a challenge to the transportation of fresh bamboo, and the quality of bamboo cannot be ensured, it said. The park said it has made great efforts to overcome the problem, but there is still the risk of a second wave of the outbreak there, and getting fresh bamboo supplies continues to be a challenge.

動(dòng)物園園長(zhǎng)兼CEO克萊門特·蘭希爾表示，這是一個(gè)艱難的決定，對(duì)于熊貓來說最安全的地方，是他們可以輕易獲得大量竹子的地方。

Zoo President and CEO Clement Lanthier said the zoo had to make a very difficult decision because the safest place for pandas is where there is an ample supply of bamboo that they can get to easily.

大熊貓食用的竹子是從中國(guó)空運(yùn)的，疫情影響航班正常運(yùn)行，新鮮竹子也就指望不上了。根據(jù)動(dòng)物園工作人員介紹，大熊貓飲食挑剔，拒絕吃經(jīng)過長(zhǎng)時(shí)間運(yùn)輸?shù)闹褡印?/p>

The animals feed on fresh bamboo, which is especially flown in for them from China. But with the novel coronavirus outbreak disrupting flights, fresh supplies have got delayed. According to the zoo staff, the pandas are fussy eaters and will reject bamboo that has spent a lot of time in transit.

2013年3月，時(shí)年4歲的雄性大熊貓“大毛”和時(shí)年5歲的雌性大熊貓“二順”從中國(guó)來到加拿大。按照協(xié)議，兩只大熊貓將在加拿大旅居10年。

In March 2013, Da Mao, then a 4-year-old male, and Er Shun, a 5-year-old female, left China for Canada. They were scheduled to stay for 10 years under a conservation agreement between the two countries.

“二順”和“大毛”在多倫多動(dòng)物園所產(chǎn)下的兩只幼崽“加盼盼”和“加悅悅”之后，于2018年移居到卡爾加里動(dòng)物園。“加盼盼”和“加悅悅”也將在今年晚些時(shí)候被送還中國(guó)。

大熊貓回國(guó)的事也上了微博熱搜，網(wǎng)友們熱烈歡迎國(guó)寶回家吃飯：

動(dòng)物園方面還表示，他們正在向加中兩國(guó)政府申請(qǐng)，加快辦理審批手續(xù)，盡早送還大熊貓。
