昨晚的月全食被稱(chēng)為“超級(jí)藍(lán)色血月”。這么多修飾詞，都是啥意思？世紀(jì)君先來(lái)科普一波：

當(dāng)月亮、地球、太陽(yáng)完全在一條直線(xiàn)上時(shí)，地球在中間，整個(gè)月亮全部走進(jìn)地球的影子里，這便是月全食。

中國(guó)科學(xué)院紫金山天文臺(tái)科普部主任張旸介紹，“藍(lán)月”并不是藍(lán)色的月亮，是指在同一個(gè)月份內(nèi)出現(xiàn)第二次滿(mǎn)月。此外，“超級(jí)月亮”是指月球運(yùn)行到近地點(diǎn)時(shí)顯得更大、更明亮；相對(duì)的，“迷你月亮”就是月球運(yùn)行到遠(yuǎn)地點(diǎn)的時(shí)候，從視覺(jué)上看，“超級(jí)月亮”一般比“迷你月亮”大14%，亮度高30%。

According to Zhang Yang, an expert at the Purple Mountain Observatory in Nanjing, the second full moon in a month is a blue moon. On Wednesday, the moon also happened to be rather close and bright because its orbit was near its closest point to Earth, thus called a supermoon.

“超級(jí)月亮常有，但與月全食同時(shí)出現(xiàn)，還碰巧與上一次滿(mǎn)月出現(xiàn)在同一個(gè)月份，就稀奇了。”

"Supermoons occur rather often, but we rarely see it sync up with a lunar eclipse, or blood moon," Zhang said.

所謂“藍(lán)”得一見(jiàn)是也！

“血月”則是指此時(shí)地球正好運(yùn)行到太陽(yáng)和月球之間，地球大氣層（atmosphere）可以折射（refract）和散射（scatter）太陽(yáng)光，太陽(yáng)光中波長(zhǎng)最長(zhǎng)的紅光折射和散射到月面上的最多，從而出現(xiàn)了紅月亮，因而也叫血月。

只要天公作美，昨晚全國(guó)大部分地區(qū)都可以用肉眼直接觀(guān)賞這一罕見(jiàn)天象，中東部可見(jiàn)月食全過(guò)程，西藏西部和新疆西部部分地區(qū)看不到半影食始和初虧現(xiàn)象，但可看到初虧后面的過(guò)程。

On Wednesday night, the cosmic sight was seen in most parts of China where the weather was clear. The western parts of Tibet Autonomous Region and Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region may have missed the beginning of the lunar eclipse, according to Zhang.

“超級(jí)藍(lán)血月全食”引發(fā)全民熱情，視頻網(wǎng)站有直播，社交媒體有分享。北京天文館附近則聚集了1000多人，帶著各種裝備來(lái)欣賞。

Popular video sites provided live broadcasts of the "super blue red moon." People shared their "moon moments" on social media, and pictures of the lunar eclipse went viral on the Internet. Over 1,000 people gathered at the Beijing Planetarium to use the equipments to watch the moon. Many parents brought their children for a lesson in science.

在我國(guó)古代傳說(shuō)中，有天狗食月的傳說(shuō)，人們會(huì)敲鑼打鼓燃放煙火驅(qū)逐天狗。

Chinese folklore once interpreted the lunar eclipse as the moon being eaten up by a heavenly dog, and people would play drums and burn fireworks to drive the heavenly dog away.

不過(guò)現(xiàn)在，沒(méi)有人相信天狗傳說(shuō)，只是看著自家狗子會(huì)不會(huì)對(duì)著血月叫喚了~
