As a matter of fact, young people are not “abandoning” their blood ties, but turning their focus to online socializing. According to a report by the social app Soul in May, about 60 percent of young people have no more than two close friends. For them, social apps have become the main way to expand their circle.
好像現(xiàn)在的年輕人將注意力更多地轉(zhuǎn)向了網(wǎng)絡(luò)社交。根據(jù)Soul今年 5 月份的報(bào)告顯示，約六成年輕人的至交好友數(shù)量不超過兩個(gè)。因此，社交軟件也逐漸成為了他們擴(kuò)大圈子的主要途徑。
This change partly comes from the need for frequent moves in modern times. In the past, people tended to live life with or nearby their relatives in a fixed area. Long-distance migration is now common across the country, however. Gao Yuxiang, a student at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, is one of them. After his family moved, the 21-year-old has since been unable to get in touch frequently with his relatives. “I’ve found that online socializing is free from the restrictions of time and location, so I’ve gradually become more socially active online,” he said.
“頻繁地?fù)Q居住地”也許是造成這一現(xiàn)象的原因之一。隨著城市化的發(fā)展，家庭成員之間住得更遠(yuǎn)了，也就不太便于經(jīng)常走動(dòng)。一位上海交大的學(xué)生就曾表示：他們舉家搬遷后，就不太便于像以前那樣和親戚來往，網(wǎng)絡(luò)社交不受時(shí)間和地點(diǎn)的限制，這就方便很多。
Online socializing is also favored by many because it provides spaces with a more personal feeling. For those who are uneasy with real-life socializing, doing it online allows them to escape from “embarrassing” social scenes while satisfying the need to make friends.
