飛機于當天下午3時40分左右從墨西哥杜蘭戈州首府的杜蘭戈國際機場起飛前往首都墨西哥城。

據美聯(lián)社報道，飛機起飛時天氣條件惡劣，不久后便墜落并起火。

It began with a strong burst of wind and pounding hail that pummeledthe Aeromexico jetliner minutes after takeoff in northern Mexico then sent it smashing belly-down onto a field near the runway.

Frightened passengers scrambled to flee as flames and blinding black smoke erupted around them.

目前，墜機事件已造成85人受傷，49人正在住院治療，其中大部分為輕傷，只有兩人傷情較重。

Officials said 49 people were hospitalized, most with minor injuries. The pilot, who had spinal damage that required surgery, was the most seriously injured. Some people had burns, said Durango state Health Ministry spokesman Fernando Ros.

機頭先著地，多數乘客自己逃出機艙

初步檢查信息顯示，墜機是由惡劣天氣導致。飛機在受到一陣強風影響后撞擊地面。

A Mexican governor says a gust of wind hit the Aeromexico jetliner shortly after it took off, causing the plane to lose speed and hit the ground with its left wing. Both engines were knocked loose.

Durango state Gov. Jose Aispuro said at a news conference late Tuesday that the plane skidded into a field in a horizontal position. He says that allowed escape slides to activate so all passengers and crew could escape before the plane caught fire Tuesday afternoon.

"The nose took the hit. The most seriously injured is the pilot," Solano Mejia said. However, he said, "the majority of passengers left (the plane) under their own power."

墨西哥航空高管在墜機發(fā)生后肯定了機組人員在事故中的專業(yè)處理。

Aeromexico Chief Executive Officer Andres Conesa described the day as "very difficult" and credited the timely reaction of crew and passengers for the lack of fatalities.

Governor Rosas said the crew were able to deploy the evacuation slides shortly after the crash, allowing those still on board to leave the plane safely before the flames spread.

Ramin Parsa told the BBC that "shortly after the plane took off, I knew something was wrong. The plane began to shake," he recalled.

He said the plane hit the ground and "started bouncing, shaking and sliding" until it hit some trees and finally stopped when it fell into a ditch.

"All the lights went off and then there was smoke inside the cabin, people were panicking and screaming."

"I think we fell back on the runway because it was a hard surface, then we skidded on the ground until it stopped," the 47-year-old told the Agence France Press news agency.

Rómulo Campuzano said he had been "very lucky because I was able to get out by the main door". He said the door had been torn off and was lying next to the plane "acting as a ramp".
