As part of its broader overall strategy, Looser Group Executive Management recently resolved that a sharper product focus should be adopted for the Group’s Coatings Division. In future, the division and its constituent companies will concentrate on wood, packaging and non-stick coating products.

In Step 1 of this new divisional strategy, the Feycolor Group was sold in its entirety to the MIPA Group, which is based in Essenbach (Germany), at the beginning of March. Feycolor has been sold as an autonomous company, and it and all the members of its workforce are now being integrated into the MIPA Group.

In Step 2, Feyco AG sold its metal coatings business to Streicolor AG of Frauenfeld (Switzerland), a member of the MIPA Group, on 5 June. The sale included various metal coatings formulas and applications (for the metalwork industry, the rolling stock sector and powder coatings). Streicolor also took on all of Feyco’s industrial coatings field sales staff.

The disposals are key steps in implementing the overall strategy of the Looser Group. “I’m convinced that MIPA and Streicolor will optimally assimilate this industrial and metal coatings expertise,” says Looser Group CEO Tim Talaat. “And I offer our sincere thanks for all their work and commitment to everyone at Feycolor and to the Feyco people who are leaving us, and wish them all every further success and satisfaction within the MIPA Group.”
