日前，2019年英國泰晤士高等教育亞洲大學(xué)排名發(fā)布，清華大學(xué)超越此前三次蟬聯(lián)榜首的新加坡國立大學(xué)名列亞洲第一，這也是中國高校首次登上該排行榜榜首。

China's Tsinghua University claimed the number one spot in the Times Higher Education (THE)'s Asia University Rankings 2019, becoming the first university on the Chinese mainland to top the list.

2019年英國泰晤士高等教育亞洲大學(xué)排名發(fā)布，清華大學(xué)名列第一，成為中國內(nèi)地首個(gè)登頂該榜單的高校。

Tsinghua University knocked National University of Singapore off the top, which has held onto the number one ranking since 2016 and has now dropped to second place. Tsinghua University's move further up the list was due to a large boost in the scores for teaching environment, citation impact and international outlook.

清華大學(xué)將新加坡國立大學(xué)擠下榜首，后者自2016年以來一直占據(jù)第一名，目前退居第二。清華大學(xué)排名進(jìn)一步上升得益于其在教學(xué)環(huán)境、論文引用影響力和國際前景等方面的分?jǐn)?shù)大幅提高。

除了清華大學(xué)，還有許多中國高校也榜上有名。

Times Higher Education noted that overall, 72 Chinese universities feature in the ranking, up from 63 last year, and 16 of its 26 institutions in the top 100 hold steady, rise or enter the list for the first time.

《泰晤士報(bào)高等教育》指出，中國共有72所大學(xué)上榜，高于去年的63所，排名前100的26所大學(xué)中有16所的排名與此前持平、上升或首次上榜。

其中，中國科學(xué)技術(shù)大學(xué)、浙江大學(xué)、武漢大學(xué)等大學(xué)保持了原有排名或排名有所上升；而北京大學(xué)、復(fù)旦大學(xué)等排名有所下降。

Peking University dropped two places to 5th, which is attributed to declines in its research income and industry income scores.

北京大學(xué)的排名下降了兩位，降至亞洲第5位。這是由于其研究收入和行業(yè)收入得分下降所致。

此外，中國香港也有三所高校躋身前十。

The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology has fared well in the standings, jumping from 5th last year to 3rd and leading the special administrative region of China for the first time.

香港科技大學(xué)排名最靠前，它從去年的第5位躍升至第3位，首次領(lǐng)先于香港其他高校。

Times Higher Education said this is due to an improvement in its industry income and international outlook scores.

The University of Hong Kong remains in 4th position while the Chinese University of Hong Kong is in 7th place.

香港大學(xué)仍然排名第四，香港中文大學(xué)排名第七。

哈佛大學(xué)中國研究教授威廉·柯比（William Kirby）對泰晤士高等教育說，他“并不驚訝于中國的大學(xué)在全球排名迅速上升”（ "not surprised at the rise of Chinese universities in global rankings"）。

He noted that "today, no country puts more resources into higher education than China, which is home to the fastest growing system of higher education in the world — in quality as well as quantity".

他指出：“今天沒有哪個(gè)國家投入到高等教育中的資源比中國更多了，中國的教育體系也是世界上發(fā)展最快的高等教育體系——無論是質(zhì)量上，還是數(shù)量上”。

He pointed out that given its strengths in engineering and applied sciences and its development of programs in the humanities and social sciences, "it is also not surprising that Tsinghua is doing particularly well".

他認(rèn)為，鑒于清華在工程和應(yīng)用科學(xué)方面的優(yōu)勢，以及在人文和社會(huì)科學(xué)方面的項(xiàng)目發(fā)展，“清華表現(xiàn)得特別好也就不足為奇了”。

近年來，中國持續(xù)推進(jìn)高等教育改革，提升高等教育水平。

2017年，教育部、財(cái)政部、國家發(fā)展改革委聯(lián)合印發(fā)了《統(tǒng)籌推進(jìn)世界一流大學(xué)和一流學(xué)科建設(shè)實(shí)施辦法（暫行）》，提出到2020年，若干所大學(xué)和一批學(xué)科進(jìn)入世界一流行列，若干學(xué)科進(jìn)入世界一流學(xué)科前列；到本世紀(jì)中葉，一流大學(xué)和一流學(xué)科的數(shù)量和實(shí)力進(jìn)入世界前列，基本建成高等教育強(qiáng)國。

In 2017, China listed 42 universities it wanted to achieve world-class status in a bid to make China an international higher education power.

2017年，中國列出了42所目標(biāo)達(dá)到世界一流水平的大學(xué)，以推動(dòng)中國成為國際高等教育強(qiáng)國。

Gerry Postiglione, professor in the Faculty of Education at the University of Hong Kong and an expert in the comparative sociology of Asian higher education, said that China's rising number of "World Class Universities" represents "a potential long-term asset for engaging with the significant diversity of other leading research universities located in countries encompassed by the Belt and Road Initiative".

香港大學(xué)教育學(xué)院教授、高等教育比較社會(huì)學(xué)專家波斯蒂格里昂表示：中國“世界一流大學(xué)”數(shù)量的不斷增加，也體現(xiàn)出“一種可以與‘一帶一路’倡議國家的其他領(lǐng)先研究型大學(xué)進(jìn)行多元化合作的巨大潛力”。

泰晤士高等教育世界大學(xué)排名（Times Higher Education World University Ranking），是由英國《泰晤士高等教育》（Times Higher Education，簡稱THE）發(fā)布的世界大學(xué)排名，與QS世界大學(xué)排名、USNews世界大學(xué)排名、ARWU世界大學(xué)學(xué)術(shù)排名被公認(rèn)為四大權(quán)威大學(xué)世界排名。

此次公布的泰晤士高等教育亞洲大學(xué)排名采用五個(gè)方面的績效指標(biāo)來評判大學(xué)，包括教學(xué)（學(xué)習(xí)環(huán)境）、研究（數(shù)量、收入和聲譽(yù)）、引文（研究影響）、國際視野（員工、學(xué)生和研究）和行業(yè)收入（知識(shí)轉(zhuǎn)移）。
